Medical Rangers who receive 'army style' commissions MUST wear US Army style ACU's with Texas markings beginning December 2009. Until that time both the ACU and the BDU uniform are authorized.
You need trousers, jacket, patrol cap, brown boots
with the
nappy side out, belt, and correct tee shirt.
At 1-800-nametapes.com there is a special package of nametapes, texas
state guard markings, and patches.
BDU Uniform is Authorized but NOT
RECOMMENDED FOR PURCHASE as it will not be worn after Dec 2009 - Personnel may get many USED items free from their unit. Contact SPC Vela- but delivery tends to
be SLOW. Some free used items are
[at times] not available and so you may need to purchase those items
new.
