MEMS BADGE - Military Emergency Management Specialist

FEMA has an independent study course at the above location.

Many folks earn the optional MEMS badge through

It leads to an awarded badge which is worn on the army-style BDU's by Medical Rangers

The downside - it costs $25 to join that organization - but the FEMA courses are free

The CDC has a lot of training available. Some of this is via distance education.

ARMY DISTANCE LEARNING COURSES

Another worthwhile series of courses is the basic med officer course of the US Army.

BUT this one is currently closed also while being remodelled.

1LT Houseworth is working on getting us - and the rest of the TMR - permission to take that course on a distance education basis - but it has not happened yet..
