HCC SW SUPPORT SERVICE LEARNING - RUN FOR THE ROSE

Dozens of students, faculty, and staff, in coordination with the Southwest College Service Learning Program, contributed their talents to assist with the 2005 Third Annual Run for the Rose in memory of the late Dr. Marnie Rose.

Dr. Rose was a second-year pediatric resident at The University of Texas - Houston Medical School. She died suddenly of brain cancer on August 23, 2003. HCC's Volunteer Team was captained by Mr. Herman Litt, HCCS Board member.

This year's event raised well over $100,000 for Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital and the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
