Saudi writer and poet Nima Ismail Nawwab enthralled students and local residents attending the recent HCC Southwest College Global Studies event by reading poems from her new book The Unfurling and discussing current events and trends in her native country.

Nawwabe is a Makkan writer, editor, poet and photographer who writes of freedom, women, family, culture, faith, tradition, tolerance and change. She told the audience that she is currently working on a CD of music and poetry based on her book.
