A Free Halloween Festival with Safety In Mind

HOUSTON – Games, candy, trick or treating, food and fun… all in a safe environment and FREE! Houston Community College Southwest is hosting the Eight Annual Safe Halloween Festival for kids, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 26.

The festival will be held at the HCC Southwest West Loop Campus, 5601 West Loop South.

The event has been a huge success in years past allowing over 700 children to have fun in a safe environment. This year, organizers are expecting over 1,500 children predominantly from the Gulfton, Sharpstown, and Bellaire areas. Children attending the festival must be accompanied by an adult. In addition to the usual trick or treat activities, food, fun, and games, the Houston Police Department will provide free safety classes for elementary-age and younger children.

Children are encouraged to attend in their Halloween costumes; and parents are encouraged to bring cameras to capture great photos.

Included in the fun activities will be carnival game booths, balloon games, face painting and a moonwalk. Free hot dogs and candy will be available for children and their parents.

For more information about the Safe Halloween Fest call 713-718-7930.
