HCC Opens A New Campus and
The School of Continuing Education
Houston - Houston Community College has opened its doors to a new campus in the Alief community. Located at 2811 Hayes Road and Westheimer, close to Beltway 8, the new Alief Campus is currently using 70,000 square feet but has the potential of expanding another 245,000 square feet in the near future.
The 22 acre site has twice the parking capacity as the existing Alief Center and has a bookstore, counseling services, cashiering, library, and lots of green space. The campus will also have a cafeteria and childcare in the future. Two METRO bus lines also access the new Alief Campus, located in Houston's Westchase district. Close to three thousand students are currently enrolled at HCC in Alief.
The Alief Center located at 13803 Bissonnet at Eldridge is now the Alief Continuing Education Center. The 45,000 square foot building will be dedicated to Continuing Education and Workforce classes.
Classes include: English as a Second Language, Citizenship, GED, Microsoft Applications, Medical Coding and Billing, Medical Receptionist, Emergency Medical Training, Introduction to Health Professions, Property Management, Cosmetology, Payroll Specialist, Accounting and other fast-track classes.
