Houston—Everyone needs frequent cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure screenings nowadays. Want to get one free? Then do not eat or drink anything after 3:00 p.m. and come to the Houston Community College Alief Health Fair from 5:00 p.m.—7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5.

The Health Fair will be held in the main hallway of the HCC Alief Center, 13803 Bissonnet. The free screenings are courtesy of West Houston Medical Center. Medical Center staff will be on hand, along with staff and representatives of many other health-related organizations including the Alief YMCA, the Fort Bend Mental Health Association, ADA and the Sickle Association of Texas.

If you are looking to become part of the health-related industry, you can talk to representatives from HCC Health Careers Programs, UT Nursing School, Prairie View A&M Nursing School, Texas Chiropractic College, and the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, among others.
