Real Estate License Requirements


 

SALESPERSON LICENSE:

(REQUIRES 210 CLASSROOM HOURS)

1301 Principles of Real Estate (45 hrs.) = 6 wks.

1338 Principles of Real Estate II (45 hrs.) = 6 wks.

1311 Real Estate Contracts (45 hrs.) = 6 wks.

2301 Law of Agency (45 hrs.) = 6 wks.

xxxx Choose any core Real Estate Course  (45 hrs.) = 6wks.

LOAN OFFICERS LICENSE:

1324 Loan Origination & Quality Control
(43 Classroom hrs. of core and CE  2 Classroom Hours of Ethics)

Loan Processors do not need a license to process loans.

1371 Loan Processing is designed for those wishing only to process loans, or for those wishing to renew their current license.  Log on to www.sml.state.tx.us

 

 

PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE INSPECTOR LICENSE:

(448 CLASSROOM HOURS REQUIRED)

*1335 Construction – 45 hrs. (6 wks.)                              

*2305 Inspection – 45 hrs. (6 wks.)

Foundation Systems – 45 hrs. (6 wks.)

Roof Systems – 45 hrs. (6 wks.)

Framing – 45 hrs. (6 wks.)

Electrical Systems – 40 hrs.

HVAC Systems – 40 hrs.   

Plumbing – 40 hrs.

Building Enclosure – 20 hrs.

Appliances – 10 hrs.

Standards of Practice/Legal/Ethics – 15 hrs.

Standard Report Form/Report Writing – 15 hrs.

Other Approved Courses:  Environmental Protection Agency; Consumer Product Safety Commission; and General Business Practices. (10 hrs.)

PROVISIONAL APPRAISER LICENSE:

(90 HRS. CORE RELATED APPRAISAL COURSES & 15 HRS. USPAP)

1303 REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL

1327 COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL

1105 USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice)

1)  Contact a locally Licensed Appraiser to sponsor you.

2)  Submit transcript, application, & sponsoring broker form to Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board.

3)  Study & pass state exam.  YOU’RE LICENSED!!!
