ESL I

Designed to teach vocabulary and conversational skills to beginning speakers of English. Practical vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and conversation.  Textbook required.

ESL II 

For speakers who are already able to speak in the present tense and answer simple questions. Emphasis is on  developing fluency and increased vocabulary.  Textbook required

ESL III 

For students who already have basic survival skills in English. Continued practice to develop oral proficiency.  Textbook required.

ESL IV 

For students who already have basic survival skills in English. Continued practice to develop oral proficiency.  Textbook required.

Advanced ESL:  Reading and Writing

This course is designed for non-native speakers who have completed ESL III or  its equivalent and who want to improve their written use of the language.  Textbook required.

Advanced ESL:  Listening and Speaking 

Emphasis in on speaking American English as well as understanding local culture.  This course is for students who are familiar with English grammar and syntax, but who want to polish their conversational skills and listening comprehension.   Textbook required.

Advanced ESL: English Pronunciation

Pronunciation of sounds, words, sentences, and longer conversations in English.  Intonation, clustering, and accent correction will be addressed.  This course is for students of English who have achieved intermediate fluency.   Textbook required.

Spanish I

An introductory Spanish course that teaches the essentials of Spanish pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and conversation.    Textbook required.

Spanish II

Focuses on improving pronunciation, building vocabulary, and developing skills in speaking and listening in every day situations.  Textbook required.
