Guided Studies 0101 Student Home

GUST 0101 is designed to help you succeed in college. This course provides an introduction to the nature of higher education and a general orientation of the available college resources and especially those at Houston Community College. The purpose of the Student Success course is to aid degree seeking students to adjust to college life, understand the learning process so as to develop better learning skills and to become more familiar with HCCS services. The most integral part of the GUST 0101 course is the mentoring aspect. You will be paired with a HCCS staff member who will be available to assist you on an individual basis.
