Shelley Auer
Bruce Brogdon studied classical guitar at the University of St. Thomas and has studied lute in master classes with Paul O'Dette and Pat O'Brien.  He performs with Aquinas, the resident early music ensemble at the University of St. Thomas, and with Ars Lyrica, directed by Matthew Dirst.  Recently he has had the opportunity to perform in several operas in the Houston area, including Peri's Euridice at the University of Houston and Monteverdi's Orfeo with Houston Grand Opera.  Mr. Brogdon is a veteran of the Early Music at Round Top Festival and the Texas Early Music Festival and is a faculty member of the English and Music departments of Houston Community College, Southwest.
Johnny Chang -  Johnny Chang received Bachelor and Licentiate in Violin Performance from the University of Costa Rica in San Jose, where he studied with both  Walter Field and Jose Aurelio Castillo.  He obtained the Artist Diploma from St. Louis Conservatory of Music with emphasis in Chamber Music under the guidance of Jaime Laredo, and the Master of Music Degree in Violin from Rice University.
Mr. Chang has performed with many professional orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, San Jose Chamber Orchestra, Houston Ballet Orchestra, Theater Under the Stars Orchestra, Opera in the Heights, Symphony of Southeast Texas, Woodland Symphony, and Corpus Christi Symphony.  His solo appearances include the Costa Rican National Youth Symphony, the St. Louis Conservatory Orchestra, San Jose Chamber Orchestra, and Texas All-State Orchestra.  In addition to his private studio, Mr. Chang has taught the violin sections in the Houston Youth Symphony and Ballet, and the Greater Houston Youth Orchestra.
Jason Lester A native Texan, bass-baritone Jason Lester is thrilled to join the faculty of HCC.  With over twenty roles in his repertory, Jason Lester has proven to be an accomplished performer in musical styles ranging from Baroque to Stravinsky.  Some of these roles include Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia , Méphistophélès in Faust, and Raimondo Bidebent in Lucia di Lammermoor with Opera in the Heights, Father Trulove in The Rake’s Progress and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte with Florida State Opera, Melisso in Handel’s Alcina at Opera Theatre of Lucca, Italy, as well as Mr. Dashwood in Little Women and Javelinot in Dialogues of the Carmelites (broadcast on NPR World of Opera) at Glimmerglass Opera.  Upcoming roles include Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata, Padre Guardiano in La Forza del Destino, and Colline in La Bohème. Mr. Lester is currently pursuing a Doctor of Music at Florida State University and received his Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and his Bachelor of Music Education from Baylor University.  He also teaches at Wharton County Junior College and Cy-Fair College.
Tim Maynard
Mary Peterson piano, founding member of Trio Vivant, holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Houston.  She began her musical studies at the Houston Conservatory of Music, has taught both music and economics at Houston Community College and has toured with Community Concerts as an accompanist.  She is presently Vice-President of Olympic Controls, Inc., and is a fine arts faculty member at both Houston Community College Southwest and Town and Country.  Ms. Peterson also preforms locally as a singer and dancer.
Jack Westmoreland received his Bachelor Degree in Music Education and his Masters Degree in Music Performance from the University of Houston.  In addition to his teaching assignments at Houston Community College, Mr. Westmoreland also teaches at Blinn College in Brenham, and at Memorial Middle School.  Mr. Westmoreland is a freelance percussionist in the Houston area, performing regularly with various theatre companies, and occassionally for young audiences of Houston. 
Stephen Yip was born in Hong Kong and now living in U.S.A. He received his D.M.A from Rice University and B.F.A from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. His mentors include Wing-fai Law, Clarence Mak, Arthur Gottschalk and Ellsworth Milburn. He has attended music festivals and residency include: Aspen Music Festival, Asian Composers' League, Music X, June in Buffalo, IMPULS Ensemble Akademie, California E.A.R. Unit Composer Seminar, the 13th International Summer Program, Czech Republic, and Atlantic Center for the Arts, Florida, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, Nebraska, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Yaddo Colony, NY.

Yip's works have been performed in the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Israel, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Korea, Hong Kong, China, and Philippines. He has received several composition prizes, included Haifa International Composition Prize, First International EPICMUSIC Composition Prize, Italy, International Biennial composition competition, the Debussy Trio Music Foundation, Molinari Quartet's Third International Composition Competition, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra Emerging, the ALEA III composition Competition and the fourth NACUSA Texas Composition Competition. His works are recorded in the ERM-Media, PARMA, Capstone, North South recording, ATMA Classique and Beauport Classical labels.

Yip is a member of the SCI, NACUSA, and CASH. Currently, he serves music faculty at Houston Community College and freelance composer.
