The mixed media artist combines textures of handmade papers, stitchery, metal, and found objects. She developed a form she calls the digiquilt, incorporating original imagery and photographs into digital montages.  They range from quilt sized to small enough to fit in the palm of her hand.  She and Doyle Horton.  created "Inconclusive: A Journey with Lymphoma," a mixed media installation presented at the HCC Northline Gallery in January 2003.

STATEMENT: The following sums up Cynthia Millis? philosophy about teaching, art, and life.

"I am a teacher.  Teaching is a creative form of self-expression. It is one of my mediums. I try to share the joy of learning with students and colleagues each day. My art explores textures-hard, soft, things that may or may not go together. Like life, the surfaces are complex, layered, and ambiguous. The interpretation is yours ".
