ARTC 1309 Basic Illustration

3 (2 lecture, 4 lab)

Course Description:Introduction to drawing techniques, skills, and concepts using various black and white media. Emphasis on perspective construction of the human figure and principles of shading as they pertain to the commercial illustration industry.

Learning Outcomes:  Convey the principles as they relate to commercial illustration; utilize distortion to enhance visual message; illustrate proper use of perspective; and demonstrate a knowledge of basic human proportions.
