Eligibility
for Enrollment
All courses are open to
individuals who are 17 years of age or older. Age restrictions do
not apply to courses designed for younger students.
Dropping
a Class
Prior to the first scheduled
class meeting, a student must complete a Drop Form in the
Campus/Center office. Requests made after class has begun result in
No Refund. Materials fees paid to instructors are not refundable.
Change
of Schedule
A Program Adjustment Form
must be initiated through the Campus Office for all class changes.
Approval of requests for changes will be based on the number of students
enrolled in both classes. No Change of Schedule fee will be charged
for replacing a cancelled class.

Textbooks,
Supplies, and Materials
Most non-credit courses will
not require textbooks, but the specialized nature of some courses will
require texts or other supplies and materials.
Students will be notified of
the need for texts, supplies, and other materials at the first class
meeting. Textbook selections are kept within a moderate price range,
and the cost of supplies and materials for classes is based upon the size
or complexity of the project chosen by the student.
Notification
of Class Status Changes
Every effort is made to
begin and hold class at the designated time. Each class is
contingent on the required minimum number of students. Occasionally,
extenuating circumstances arise requiring a cancellation or delay.
In such cases we attempt to notify all students by telephone.
Houston Community College
reserves the right when necessary, to cancel classes, alter schedules, or
substitute instructors.
