Community Spanish A Survival Guide for English Speakers

This is an intensive program, designed for persons who want an easy and quick way to learn limited amounts of everyday Spanish. This manual is divided into three components: 

           Speaking in Spanish     -     Listening in Spanish     -     Cross-Cultural Issues

No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary.  The program utilizes phonetic encoding to address the Spanish commands, questions, and phrases. This program is intended for:

Persons who want an easy and quick way to learn some everyday basic Spanish.

Persons who want to understan

Upon completion, participants will be able to do some or all of the following:

Welcome and Receive Friends & Acquaintances

Introduce Oneself & Others

Furnish Personal Data

Express Compliments

Communicate their Likes & Dislikes

Use Spanish for Emergencies

Give Directions

Order Food & Drinks in a Spanish Restaurant 

Hold Small Talks

Methods of Instruction include lecture, activities, modeling, intensive drill, choral response, alpha-beta line, learning pairs and triads, Total Physical Response, role-playing, simulations, and situation cards Manual is included.
