SACS Accreditation The Houston Community College System is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the associate degree. State Approvals The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has approved college/university parallel offerings and programs in technical education. The Texas Education Agency has approved programs for veteran education benefits.
