Thanks to Jerald Coleman, Jason Hyman, Colby Kibbe, Chelsea Steward, Marcelo Gonzalez, and Don Wells for attending today's BTSA meeting.
Jerald proposed t-shirts for BTSA. We are thinking of beginning by doing the printing ourselves with Photoshop and iron-on transfer print paper. As our membership expands, we can look into the more expensive professional silkscreen t-shirts. If you have ideas for the t-shirt design, please e-mail Jerald and I a copy, and the membership can consider it at the next meeting.
Jerald also proposed another episode of "Life at Southwest" for the fall. We are going to work on a more sophisticated graphic look for the show over the summer. Contact Jerald or me if you are interested in participating, either in developing graphics or being involved in the shoot in the fall.
Marcelo updated us on how the capacity of the BT labs will be expanding over the next few semesters. He is also beginning work on a documentary for an insurance industry trade group. Contact Marcelo if you are interested in working on this project. He will need a wide range of help, from grips for shoots to budding graphic artists to work on photo scanning and formatting.
Don noted that Stafford METV will be covering the annual Stafford Independence Day celebration on July 3rd, and possibly a couple of special city meetings later in the summer. If you are interested in observing, please contact him. The Stafford Weekly News begins production in September, so if you are interested in observing on shoots, stop by the studio and fill out an observer form.
The next meeting of BTSA will be held on Monday, July 17th at 11AM, in the studio.
If you have any questions about BTSA, or ideas for the group, please shoot me an e-mail.
Hope you are having a great summer! See you soon!
