| Welcome to the Houston
Community College-Southwest Broadcast Technology website. We offer
an Associate of Applied Science Degree and three Certificates to train
students for various levels of competency in the video, television,
and radio production industries. The types of productions we emphasize
are entertainment, commercial/industrial video, news, and documentary
photographed with digital video equipment. The program is offered
only at the Stafford campuses of Southwest College, though we are
starting to teach some courses at HCC TV studios at 3100 Main
We are in partnership with the City of Stafford and
operate the Stafford Municipal/Educational Cable Television Channel
16 (METV). You will be an active participant in its daily operations.
We originate the programming from our studios in the Scarcella Science
and Technology Center, 10141 Cash Road, Stafford, TX.
If you currently work in the broadcast media, you can
update or refresh your skills with any of our Broadcast Technology
courses. You don't have to be seeking a degree to enroll, and you
will earn college credits for each course you complete successfully.
