Spanish Study Trips to Cuernavaca, Mexico
Sponsored by the Foreign Languages Department

Every year, the HCC/SW Foreign Languages Department sponsors two ten-day study trips—one in March and one in July—to Cuernavaca, Mexico’s Spanish Language Institute.

Participants study 30 hours of Spanish at all levels and live with a selected Mexican family. Trip cost is about $1400 and is arranged through Dr. Janett Hillar, Study Trip Coordinator and Assistant Department Chair. She may be reached at janett.hillar@hccs.edu or at 713-718-7815. The web site for the Spanish Language Institute (SLI) is www.sli-spanish.com.mx.

The city of Cuernavaca, 50 miles south of Mexico City, with a population of over a million, is known for its year-round “eternal spring” climate.
