The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) provides computer-assisted instruction for Guided Studies, Developmental English and Academic ESL students. Each semester the Southwest College LAC staff assists over 4000 students. The Lab Supervisor manages the labs’ operations and oversees the LAC staff. The Lab Aides assist students with Reading Road Trip, Course Compass, Focus on Grammar, the Internet, Microsoft Office Suite, and other computer related questions.
The LAC labs offer convenient student hours and are located at Greenbriar and Alief campuses. The West Loop campus provides open labs for instructor and student use.
